Limmud NY: Sharing Mad skills in the Catskills
I’m so excited to be presenting
in three sessions at the upcoming Limmud
NY conference, or what I’ve been referring to as “Jewish
TED.” I’ll be showing exclusive new clips from Jerusalem
Unfiltered and talking about some of the fascinating, Jerusalemite changemakers
I interviewed, as well as showing excerpts from my first film Jericho’s
Echo: Punk Rock in the Holy Land, and participating in a panel discussion
about women’s rights in Israel with some very smart co-panelists.
Join me in the Catskills January 13-16!

Honored to announce that I'll be joining The

I'm on a Mexican Radio (If by "Mexican,"
you mean "Internet")
Episodes of two radio shows that I was recently a guest
on are now available online. On Rusty
Mike Radio in Jerusalem, we talked everything from the President’s
conference, to the Jerusalem Film Festival, to summer action in the
city, to–of course–Battle for Jerusalem and Jerusalem Unfiltered.
I also had a lot of fun as a guest on the D.I.Y. episode of the Mike
& Judy Show straight outta Brooklyn!

continues in Israel through mid-July. Liz will also be representing
at the ROI Summit, the Israeli President's Conference, and the Jerusalem

Liz on "New Directions in Jewish Film"
I was honored to be part of the lineup of speakers and
events celebrating the San
Francisco Jewish Federation’s Centennial this month, discussing
“New Directions in Jewish Filmmaking” with the wonderful
Peter Stein of the SF Jewish Film Festival and filmmaker Sam Ball. It
was exciting to be in my home-away-from home and to share the spotlight
with some other incredible people, like one of my favorite authors,
Michael Chabon, and NY Times columnist David Brooks.

Repairing the World
I've been doing some great work
in partnership with Repair the World,
a wonderful new organization, whose mission is to whose mission is to
inspire American Jews and their communities to give their time and effort
to serve those in need. From covering a huge service day in New Orleans
to this video
for National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, and there will
be many more vids to look forward to in the coming months.

I'm Gonna Get You, Sukkah
I just finished this
fun video for MyJewishLearning.com
and it's already gotten several thousand hits on YouTube. Of our
last-minute change in shoot plans, the MJL folks said, "The finest
improvisers know exactly what they're going to do and have no qualms
about throwing it all out the window, and that's the sort of documentarian
that Liz Nord is." Aw, shucks, thanks, guys!
