Production Begins
on BATTLE FOR JERUSALEM
The month of July will be spent
in Israel, laying the groundwork for my new documentary, BATTLE
FOR JERUSALEM. I'm so excited to talk to artists and activists who
are taking a stand to make sure Jerusalem remains an open, pluralistic
capital. Follow the doc's
blog to find out what's happening during our shoots!

Media That Matters
Last week, I addressed a sold-out
crowd at the 10th Annual Media That Matters Festival World Premiere
in New York. I've been using Media
That Matters' short, social issue documentaries for years in my
media education work, and I urged the crowd (and now, I urge you!) to
donate
to Arts Engine's Peer2Peer
campaign to help get these important films into schools.

Awarded ROI Seed Grant
Am so honored to have been awarded
an ROI
Community Grant for a brand new documentary project on youth activism
and the nascent cultural renaissance in Jerusalem. This prestigious
award will allow me to go to Jerusalem in July 2010 and interview several
people with the goal of finding the individuals and stories that will
ultimately be featured in a documentary film. More info coming soon!

I was featured in the Italian XL
Magazine as part of a group of hot, up-and-coming NY filmmakers.
The article
