BATTLE
FOR JERUSALEM
Liz is at the early stages of production on this exciting, independent
documentary. BATTLE FOR JERUSALEM
highlights the attempts to revitalize Israel’s capital by a new
wave of young artists and activists, whose efforts have already initiated
a burgeoning cultural renaissance within the city. This group of citizens
is taking a stand to stay and improve conditions, making sure that Jerusalem
remains an open and pluralistic capital for all Israelis, in the face
of the growing number and influence of the city’s ultra-orthodox
religious population. The future of Jerusalem is at stake, and this film
will tell the stories of some of the people who are shaping it.
YELE
HAITI
Liz shot and edited a short documentary with Press Play Producitons to
promote the inspiring work of Yele
Haiti, a foundation started by musician Wyclef Jean. Yele supports
children and families in Wyclef's mother country, Haiti, the poorest nation
in the Western Hemisphere. The documentary focuses on Yele initiatives
like school sponsorship, jobs for women, and food distribution. The piece
premiered before world leaders at the Clinton Global Initiative meeting.

MTV
CHOOSE OR LOSE STREET TEAM ‘08
Liz served as Supervising Producer on the Emmy-Award-winning collaboration
with the Knight Foundation
and the Associated Press, wherein 51 state-based citizen journalists covered
the ’08 elections from a youth perspective, across all media platforms
- web,
mobile, broadcast, and virtual. She managed all details and logistics
of the program's development, launch and operations, including recruitment,
training, and supervision of all internal staff and 51 diverse reporters
nationwide. This effort contributed to the most influential youth vote
in U.S. history. While at MTV, she also oversaw production of a weekly,
one-hour Best of Choose or Lose show for linear mobile TV, and
on-air news segments and packages for MTV and MTVU, as well as field-producing
coverage of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

JERICHO’S
ECHO: PUNK ROCK IN THE HOLY LAND
Liz directed and produced this feature-length documentary about life and
politics in the Middle East, as seen through the eyes of Israeli punk
rockers. The cleverly written logline reads: “Rebellious Israeli
youth take up the arms of punk rock, loud guitars, and mohawks in the
most politically charged area of the world. Through interviews, verite´
scenes and live musical footage, we see how these well-spoken and outspoken
kids deal with life in their explosive, ancient region.” The film
has screened all over the world, and the DVD is now available at a website
