Elizabeth
Nord, Director and Producer
Liz's foray into this project resulted from her passion about both
the future of Israel, as an American Jew, and her involvement with the
independent record label, Negative Progression Records. Liz believes
that the spirit of punk rock translates well in the world of guerilla
filmmaking. Some of her favorite bands include Minor Threat, Fugazi,
Bad Religion and Sonic Youth.
Liz
is a documentary filmmaker, media educator, and columnist with a
professional history in graphic design. She is currently serving
on the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Women in Film and TV and
running TILT (Teaching Intermedia Literacy Tools), the youth program
of the Film Arts Foundation. She is also the independent film columnist
for Death + Taxes Magazine. Liz has produced a number of short videos,
and Jericho's Echo is her first feature.

Crew
Joseph Bironas, Editor.
Joseph grew up in Louisville, Ky in the same music scene that produced
such underground legends as Slint, Rodan, June of '44, and Rachel's
to name only a few. He has worked his way through jobs ranging from
systems administrator, to musician, to sound engineer, and a host of
theater spots, before settling on writing and directing short films
in the Bay area. His production and direction credits include promotional
videos for some of the premier event organizers in San Francisco. He
has also written and directed fictional short films, and a short subject
documentary based on the lives of Russian Jewish immigrants in America.
Joseph comes to this project through a passion for punk rock and love
of the art of documentary film making.
Steve
Lerner, Cinematographer. Steve has lifelong involvement in music,
photography, and technology. In the early '80s he was a photographer
and roadie in the legendary Southern California punk scene. In the '90s,
his San Francisco Bay Area sound engineering work included the English
Patient, which won the Oscar for Best Sound in 1996, production of Klezmer
music, as well as his own rock and electronic music bands. Currently,
Steve is the Director of Electronic Strategies at the United Jewish
Communities in New York, where he helps Jewish organizations use technology
to improve fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. His photography
has been featured in the New York Guggenheim and Orange County Museum
of Modern Art.
Marjorie
Kase, Associate Producer. Marjorie became and instant fan and advocate
of this project after meeting Director Liz Nord outside of a SXSW screening
of ³Super Size Me.² Her involvement in independent film dates back to
her years as a film student at Oberlin College and NYU where she directed,
produced, and edited several short films including ³The Lost Children,²
a documentary film about the adoption policy in Bolivia, ³This is Great
Neck," an autobiographical narrative, and Merde!, a 48 hour DV experiment.
Upon arriving in San Francisco, she was Promotions and Special Events
Coordinator at the 2001/2002 San Francisco Independent Film Festival.
