BIMBAM LIFECYCLES

Birth, marriage, and mourning are arguably the most fundamental lifecycle events—and the ones that Jewish education company BimBam asked me to explore for this series of micro-documentaries that I directed, shot, and edited.

It was such a privilege to learn how Susan celebrated the life of her poet husband after he passed away, and how Margee and her wife decided to hold a traditional Orthodox wedding (in the two videos to the left), and more stories of people making Jewish ritual their own. I also helped write and conceive of the accompanying animated videos that explain Jewish lifecycle traditions such as A Jewish Guide to Helping Your Friend in Mourning.
